Field suitability

There are many many reasons why dogs take advantage of dog fields, our field provides you with reassurance your dog is safe and you can enjoy your time together. We all know that dogs need regular exercise to keep them fit, active and stimulated. They also need more than just exercise, our field provides opportunities for investigation, exploration, interaction, sniffing (did you know that a dog sniffing is like humans reading a good book. Sniffing also tells dogs if their new friend is male or female, happy or aggressive, healthy or ill) as well as spending time alone, with you, if this is what they prefer too.

The field is relatively peaceful too so dogs can explore and play at their own pace, walk/run free and investigate their surroundings.

Can I use the field for training?

Absolutely. We have our agility section you can use for some training, but we also have lots of open space where you can practice recall etc.

My dog is in season, can I bring her?

Yes, its fine of course to bring your dog if she is in season. Just book the field exclusively for yourself. The field is secure and private. We do not allow dogs in season to attend social sessions.

Can I bring a puppy?

Absolutely. A perfect place to let your puppy explore, play and learn off lead.  We ask that you make sure they are fully vaccinated before using the field.

My dog is unwell, should I bring them?

For the health of all our canine visitors we ask that you do not bring a poorly dog to the field if they are under the weather.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

We expect all dogs to be vaccinated as well as being up to date with flea/tick/worm treatments. Your documents may be requested. If your dog is showing any signs of illness, please do not use the dog field as a sign of respect to other users.

Parking:

Where can I park?

If you are hiring K9PAWPARK on your own (just you/your dog(s)) then for complete security and peace of mind, you can park actually inside the secure enclosed field, there is car parking for MAX 2 CARS inside the enclosed field area. Pull up to the deer gate, ensure your dog(s) are secure in the car whilst you get out, entry the padlock code, open the deer gate to its widest and hook onto the fence (for security) whilst you drive in, close deer gate behind you and re-fit the padlock on the deer gate and lock. You are now in a secure unloading area, unload dogs and make your way to the second deer gate and entry the field on foot, remember to close this second deer gate behind you. Place the hook on the catch.

If, however, you prefer to park in the large car park area, this is your choice. Just ensure unloading of dogs in the large car park area is done on the lead ONLY (as the field entrance gates off the road will be open).  Once dogs are safely unloaded and on lead, you may now enter the field via the ‘air-lock’ gate entry system, simply enter the code, walk in, close the gate behind you and lock. Walk towards the end of the air-lock area opening the next gate and into the 4 acre field. Close gate behind you and attach hook. Let dogs off lead.

Can I park on the road?

No. This a public road and that area is not owned by the field.

At the Field:

Will others be there?

No, the session is for your private use. No other people/dogs will be there during your booked time.

Do I need a code to get into the field?

Yes, this will be shared with you prior to arrival on email. The code works BOTH entrance padlocks into the secure field.

Should I shut both gates while I am in the field?

Yes, absolutely.  We strongly suggest everyone shuts both gates while using the field and also use padlocks/hooks too. Keeping gates closed also lets others know the field is in use, and not to enter.

Are there any rules/thing we need to know while in the field?

Yes, you can find our Field Etiquette and T&Cs under the T&Cs menu on top tool bar within the website.

What facilities are in the field?

We have plenty open space. The field is fully secured with 6ft deer fencing and further smaller base netting dug in, with a double gate main entrance, and air-lock entrance. We also have picnic bench/seating, accessible seating, a shelter, water for doggies, sensory area, agility area, sand pits, areas especially for smaller doggies, areas especially for bigger doggies, and poo bins are available.

You do need to bring your own poo bags.

Do I need to close the road gate when I leave?

We ask that you close all deer gate entrance gates and leave the larger main road gate (road side gate) open.

Have a pawtastic fun time doing whatever your doggies want to do, walk/play/run with your best friend off the lead!

Please note that due to the weather which is out of our control it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your dog in our fields based on the ground conditions. You as a responsible dog owner need to feel comfortable and contact us directly if any problems occur.
